Brown, fleshy with slightly curled cap. They can be used in soups, sauces, salads and vegetable dishes. They are very tender and can be eaten raw. They go with rice and pasta. You can even marinate them.
Our mushrooms have been carefully selected. You need as much as 300g of fresh mushrooms for one packet of dried mushrooms (20g)!
The Shiitake mushrooms are well-known for their unusual medicinal properties. They stimulate the immune system, calm your nerves, prevent atherosclerosis and have anti-cancer effect! According to scientists, one portion of Shiitake a day will stimulate the immune system. They have been used in the Far East medicine, where they are referred to as "the elixir of life”, for centuries. They, especially the dried Shiitake, contain a record-high number of potassium and niacin (vitamin B3). They abound in vitamin D, calcium and phosphorus. However, the most valuable is lentinan. It stimulates the immune system and is appreciated for its anti-cancer effect.
